To be able to fly from the installations of the airfield it will be necessary to be registered with the event, and to have the corresponding accreditation. You must comply with the rules and regulations of flight, given to you on registration at the event.

The person that subscribes to LAS CANDELAS is aware of the rules and Regulations, and they participate freely under his/her own responsibility, being made aware of the rules made by the organization.  Likewise he/she recognizes that the organizers remain free of any responsibility that could arise from his/her acts.

SAFETY REGULATIONS


The reason for these rules are not intended to define the practice of this activity, quite the opposite, it is for the safety of this sport in such meetings and gatherings. Having safety standards mean that our sport is safe for those who practice it, and for the people who come to these events, family of pilots, spectators, and helpers... etc...

RULES AND REGULATIONS TO FOLLOW AT ALL TIMES


• You have to have your accreditation from the event visible (league or concentration     open) at all times.
• It is compulsory to have an IDENTIFICATION tape on your wing; this will be given to you on the day, with the other documents.  
• We have reserved air space for Las Candelas event (NOTAM) for anyone that enters this area without permission or fails to comply with the rules and regulations, are breaking the law, and will be dealt with by the authorities.
• It is strictly prohibited to start the engine outside the designated areas.
• Vehicles are not allowed to access the take off and landing areas, you will be given a vehicle pass for the car park for pilots.
• You can only smoke in the camping areas, parking and public areas, always away from any fuel containers.  
• There will be take off and landing decks, clearly marked. Take off and landings are to be respected at all times.
• There will be a Flight co-ordinator, who will be properly identified, along with his assistants, who will organize take off and landings.
• Pilots who do not respect the rules will have their accreditation withdraw, and will not be allowed to fly again.
• You must respect the flags, indicating the red flag means it is forbidden to fly, and the green flag means you can fly.
• It is totally prohibited to take off anywhere other than the designated area.
• It's totally prohibited to fly over the parking areas, tents, camping areas and areas of public.
• Follow instructions of the organization and security personnel.
• Mandatory helmet, it’s recommended to fly with the security radio frequency 144,160 MHz.
You must comply with the rules of the paramotor regulation in regard to airspace, altitudes... etc (If a paramotor is turning inside a thermal you must rotate in the same direction. The pilot that starts turning first or the pilot that is lower shall have preference in the direction of rotation. If two aircrafts meet, (face to face) you must both turn RIGHT. (See rules)
• It is prohibited to do any extreme manoeuvres or stunts with a paramotor, if you do not have proper authorization from the organization.
• It is forbidden to enter take off and landing areas without the authorization of the organization.

• The same as last year, there will be a Zodiac boat, and life guard on the shore of the reservoir in case of accidents.
• With your inscription, you will be given a map of the area, specifying all its areas (areas of operation, public area, marquee, parking and camping etc.  ...)

You are all invited to make this a good safe and fun event, we must act responsibly. If you see someone violating these rules, please help us by reporting it. We can not accept that anyone who violates the rules will jeopardizes everyone else.

Any pilots who fly in violation of these rules will be forced to land immediately. The pilot who carries out illegal activities will have their accreditations withdraw, and will not be allowed to fly again.
